40 Days of Prayer
5 Jan 2026 - 13 Feb 2026.
Let’s talk about fasting
The purpose of fasting is to draw closer to God and become more attentive to His voice. Biblical fasting is about intentionally removing distractions for a spiritual purpose it realigns our hearts, resets our souls, and brings renewal from the inside out. Through fasting, we create space to reflect on God’s goodness and mercy and prepare our hearts to receive all that He desires to do in our lives.
As you consider your fast, remember that it should involve a meaningful level of sacrifice while also honoring your physical health and personal circumstances. Take time to seek God in prayer, listen carefully, and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit as you determine what your fast will look like.
Fasting is not limited to one season and can be practiced throughout the year as part of your spiritual growth. Some choose to fast a single meal, an entire day, or several days at a time. Ultimately, the duration matters less than the depth of your focus on God during the fast.

The Daniel Fast
The Daniel Fast is a partial food fast, which limits one's diet to whole, plant-based foods (fruits, veggies, grains, legumes).
